And she finally smiles for the camera...

Okay, so I went a little crazy on the blog pictures. But man, I couldn't put any up for a LONG time so you see the progress of our little people over the past month. They are great kids. We had a ton of visitors in Portland (and everyone was SOOOO jealous of the beautiful summer weather!) and our babies were serious troopers through all of the trips to the coast, and the mountains, and the waterfalls... Anyway, we had a ton of fun! Thanks, family! We miss you already!

HEADLOCKS of LOVE

What a Plaid Pair...

Holy Crap- It worked!!!

I don't know how many times I have TRIED to post photos in the last week and the dang thing wouldn't let me, so here I was tonight, with one more tired and hopeless attempt, and WALAH! There is my boy racing down the slide with his adorable cousin, Lauren! I will try to add more photos of this day because they were so cute and had so much fun together during her visit from Utah. They have loved each other from the minute they could actually focus in and see more than just a blur of a fat face. Cute cousins forever!!

Ahhh- it won't let me post pictures!

So, I have been trying for a couple of days to post new pictures, but for some reason, it will not display them after they say they have been uploaded. Maybe I'm just computer-stupid, but if anyone knows how to fix this, please let me know. I have SO many great pictures right now of our family visiting. My kids have been having a blast and I can't even show off their happy smiles! HELP?!!

Mischievous Monkey

Here is our boy hoarding all of the orange crayons at a restaurant. He was up there saying "M-O-S-O-N"- he thinks that's how his name is spelled. Our little genius is getting there, right? :)

Mr. Nohawk

Mase wanted to experiment with his hair using Daddy's new "blue hair stuff". So we did a fun mohawk. He went to preschool like that yesterday and said to his teacher, "Miss Stacey, look at my NOHAWK!"

Ava's big day

Little Ava (or "Aves", as Mase adoringly refers to her) had her blessing in church this past Sunday. We are thankful that Roland's parents could be here with us and that grandma made her beautiful dress. We miss you guys!

Mirror, Mirror...

Ava is pretty narcissistic these days. A mirror is her favorite thing and it's hard to tell but she is looking at herself in this photo. We are sure in trouble if she knows how cute she is this early! (:

Cannon Beach, OR

This past weekend we visited Cannon Beach. It's just over an hour from where we live in Portland and one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! It's crazy to be driving through pine trees and then suddenly hit the beach... In the first photo, you can see a little bit of the land and how it's covered in trees. I'm not great at scenery photos, so this doesn't do the place justice. Mason's face isn't really visible in many of the pictures we took because he loved it so much he was just running nonstop. (As usual, right?) In the first picture, he was throwing a rock and you can see it midflight. Ro was brave and took a dip in the ocean even though the water was pretty cold. One of the things we love about Portland is how you can get to the coast or the mountains or the desert (as if we would want to go there! Hee hee!) in just over an hour.

Miss Cheeks

Wouldn't it be worth coming to visit us in Portland just to kiss these chubby cheeks? We think so!

Where is your smile, Mr. GQ?

So pictures like this, though adorable, seem like we don't have a happy kid. We just want to make a disclaimer and tell you that when we tell him to smile, the result is what is displayed below....

We call this his "cheesy smile" and thought it was funny the first hundred times he did it... THEN, it became his "picture smile" and we can't seem to get anything genuine out of him anymore. Still way cute, though. (:

A little brotherly love...

Mason and Ava are already starting a little friendship. He showers her with hugs and kisses and when she cries he says, "It's okay, baby sister". It's very cute. Even though it'll be a long time until they can actually "play" together, we are excited to see the sibling relationship grow.
